Session Submission Type: Roundtable
This session will provide an overview of the current policy and legislation that poses significant threats to the opportunity and well-being of Black political scientists. The roundtable participants will examine the ways in which growing authoritarian tendencies and threats to democratic practice within U.S. society more broadly have had a disproportionate effect on Blacks in the profession. Panelists will also discuss ideas and strategies specific to addressing an increasingly hostile academic and social environment.
