Session Description

Harvey C. Mansfield has been translating Machiavelli or writing about his political thought for over forty years. The recent publication of Mansfield’s latest book (his third book-length commentary devoted solely to Machiavelli), "Machiavelli’s Effectual Truth: Creating the Modern World," offers the opportunity to discuss and learn from Dr. Mansfield’s decades of scholarship on one of the most transformative political philosophers of at least the last millennium.
