This panel explores the ways in which rising populism, illiberalism, and Islamophobia represent a 'crisis' for Europe. Together, these papers ask: can the European project survive in the face of these powerful forces? Or, will anti-immigrant backlash expose the limits of the common commitment to a European Union?
