Political economy forecasting models see elections as referendums on the incumbent party's handling of the economy and other issues. With an election pitting the sitting president against a former president, how will voters' evaluations of the economy influence the election outcome? We explore different economic models for forecasting the 2024 US presidential and congressional elections.
