How descriptive representation shapes the political attitudes of non-quota beneficiary groups remains a relatively underexplored research topic, especially in the context of developing democracies. In this study, I investigate the impact of electoral quotas for women and historically disadvantaged groups on the intentions related to both electoral and non-electoral participation among dominant groups, drawing upon a pre-registered survey experiment involving 2000 rural Indian citizens. This project aims to shed light on the broader implications of inclusive institutions on political engagement.
