The Russian aggression in the Ukraine resulted in a dramatic shift of the international system, causing self-elimination of Russia from great powers group (due to the weakness of the single remaining dimension of Russian power, namely military power), and strengthening China (in relations to Russia, but also in East Asia, due to the need for U.S. shift towards Europe, especially Central and Easter Europe. The war has strengthened the United States in all dimensions, as a political leader of the democratic world, as a dominant military power, able to mobilize both own resources and persuade others to mobilize theirs, as well as in economic dimension, as rising energy prices, as well as demand on military equipment supports US economy. At the same time, US capabilities in long-term dominance in East Asia are questioned, especially by realist. The goal of this paper sis to analyze the influence of the War in the Ukraine on the U.S. policy towards East Asia, and the U.S. position in East Asia. A comparative analysis based on different realist schools will be applied, in methodological aspects - transformative mixed methods strategy will be applied.
