Session Submission Type: Panel Session
This panel addresses three unique postwar responses to the Holocaust. The first paper examines a particular Jewish survivor lens of the rebirth of Jewish life in Poland after the Holocaust through film, the second addresses a decidedly non-Jewish, antisemitic group of Holocaust deniers, while the third bridges the gap between them, offering the case study of non-Jews in Poland empathically interacting with the memory of Jews killed in the Holocaust through an intimate letter-writing project.
