This panel will explore different perspectives on Jewish communal space and life in the 20th century, including the count system, political and non-profit organizations, and the establishment of Jewish congregations in new areas. The panel has a focus on both urban and suburban Jewish concerns in the 20th century, as well as race and ethnicity.
