This session addresses a variety of evolving ritual and folk expressions as they are constructed through inter-group negotiation. The three presentations focus upon diverse encounters between minority groups - the Ethiopian Israelis, the National Religious sector and the Bene Israel of India - and the Israeli hegemony.
