The story of Regina Zimet, a Jewish girl who survived the Holocaust, was used to tell an exemplary story of self-salvation. This proposal aims to explain the strategies implemented to use the resources of students with disabilities. Different disabilities require different approaches but if properly guided, students can produce remarkable artistic results.
An exemplary case is a student (with severe dyslexia) who, thanks to oral narration and research into the places of life of the survivor Regina Zimet, was able to express his talent, also obtaining a prestigious prize awarded for a work on the Holocaust. Furthermore, thanks to work in a high school on this topic for several years, knowledge of Jewish culture and the history of Jews in Europe and Israel was also increased. Also significant is the fact that this activity does not only concern pupils with different abilities but also their classmates, creating opportunities for sharing, valorising different talents and inclusion.
