Teaching Jewish Italy: Rewards and Challenges

Wed, December 18, 8:30 to 10:00am EST (8:30 to 10:00am EST), Virtual Zoom Room 17

Abstract

In my presentation I propose to examine the rewards and challenges in teaching two different Cornell University (primarily) undergraduate courses on Jewish Italy, and outline some of the best practices that will be of practical use to colleagues developing courses that include a component on Jewish Italy beyond the canonical texts related to the Jewish Italian experience of the Shoah.
